Finally the worlds only fireplace TV wall mount designed to pull out and then to swing downward. This incredible bracket fits 32" - 75" LED, 32" - 65" LCD and 32" to 60" Plasma televisions weighing 110 lbs or less. In most homes today the fireplace is the natural focal point, which makes mounting a flat panel above the fireplace an ideal location. Unfortunately, above the fireplace isn't the most ergonomic position for Television viewing. With our new fireplace Mount your LED LCD or Plasmas flat panel can be stored above the fireplace and when needed it can be pulled down easily for a more comfortable viewing experience. Another common feature of fireplaces is the mantel, for any other mount that goes directly up and down, the Television can not get past the mantel. The engineer of this fireplace TV mount solved this issue by having a circular motion instead of a linear motion. The circular motion allows the flat panel to move around the mantel so that a comfortable viewing position can be reached.

Special Notice: Wall Mount World nor the manufacturer takes no responsibility for damage caused from the fireplace or other heating sources to the television, mount, or other accessories. Damage could be done when the mount is down, out, or even up. It is up to the consumer to take the proper precautions to avoid damage. Electrical equipment can be overheated easier than expected. Wall Mount World and the manufacturer recommends against having fires in the fireplace whenever there is electrical equipment around.

Above Mantel Mounting

To get as much downward travel as possible when mounting above a mantel it is very important that you put extra thought into the mounting process. In general, the higher the Down and Out Mount is above the mantel the more downward travel you will get. Also, the lower the television is attached on the mount, the higher the Down and Out Mount can be mounted to the wall.

The table and drawing below can be used together to figure out how much downward travel you will get with different mantel depths and heights above the mantel. The smaller table tells you the minimum height the television needs to be mounted above the mantel.

For example, you want to find the downward travel [T] when you have a 9 inch mantel depth [D] and you mount the bottom of the mount 5 inches above the mantel [H]. First find the corresponding [D] and look down the column and find the closest [H], which in this case is 5.75 and 4.75. Round up to be on the safe side to the 5.75 inches [H]. Now go left along the row and find the corresponding Travel [T]. In this case you will get a downward travel of at least 25.5 inches.

Figuring out the clearance needed between the bottom of the television and the mantel in the up position to ensure the television will not hit the mantel is much easier. Simply find the mantel depth [D], in this example 9 inches, and go down the column and find the corresponding height, which is 2.75 inches.

Great mount, great service. October 19, 2014
Reviewer: Paul H from NC
First of all, this mount is amazing.  It travels up and down over my fireplace and I can make the TV at the right viewing height for any kind of experience I want.  Oh, you want a movie theater experience where you're sitting right up on the screen?  All the way up.  Feel like popping the recliner all the way back and viewing from an angle that you don't have to move your head?  Pull it down half way.  Want to play video games with the screen eye level so I can sit on the edge of my seat?  All the way down.  It's amazing.

Wall Mount World customer service was spectacular.  I accidentally ordered the regular mount but wanted the swivel.  One email and about 5 minutes later and I was shipped what wanted.  Which brings me to something else great, shipping stated 5-7 business days, but I had the mount in 3.

Overall great experience.  Highly recommend both this mount and Wall Mount World.

TV mount well engineered May 15, 2014

Mechanically, great - well engineered.  Minor flaking of the paint (but behind the TV, so not visible).  Could use some integrated cable management.

Fireplace TV Mount for use in my RV July 30, 2013
Reviewer: Mary Arndt from Peyton, CO United States
My TV in my RV is in an overhead location in the front of the coach. The viewing angle was very uncomfortable. Using the Fireplace TV Mount solved this problem. It took minor modifications to install the mount.

This fireplace mount has been the perfect solution to my problem. This mount is perfect for any situation where a high mounted TV needs to be lowered for viewing.

With the added modifications the installation took less than  2 hours. Someone with better skills could probably do it in less than an hour.

I am extremely pleased with my new mounting system.

Goodbye Neckstrain May 2, 2013
Reviewer: Paul from Washington
We have been looking for a long time for a bracket that was able to lower down in front of our fireplace. After countless operations looking up to watch TV was a problem for my wife.
Thanks to this bracket she is able to watch TV more comfortably. Wish it was around a long time ago.

Excellent design idea with possible flaw. January 28, 2013
Reviewer: Rob Hemphill from Roswell, GA United States
The mount installed easily and operated as designed. However, the following flaw has been observed:

Lifecycle of hydraulic pistons used for counterforce will dictate time of product usefulness. Since interim position of mount is always loaded by the counterforce, the piston lifecycle will diminish. Therefore, to enhance lifecycle of the mount, designing a mechanical locking device for interim positions should be considered.
